FAQ

WHEN DO ENTRIES OPEN?
Entries will open Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 7 pm and remain open until the tables are sold. There will be a waitlist if the hall sells out. Little Mitten Plastic Classic Entry Form

IS THE SHOW NAMSHA-APPROVED?
Yes. NAN cards will be awarded to first and second place in breed classes, select lunch classes, and the CM Equine Decorator/Fantasy division.

WHY PLASTIC?
I'm hoping that show with a focus on original finish and custom horses will bring together collectors and artists who love Breyer, Stone, and Schleich models. With three rings (six divisions) running concurrently showers will be able to focus on their show string with fewer distractions!

WHY SECOND PLACE HORSES FOR CALL BACKS?
If, for example, the judge had two lovely Appaloosas in one class and they were the best representation of real horses in the entire Stock Horse division the second place Appy could place as the Reserve Champion over the first place Quarter Horse.

WHAT SIZE IS MY HORSE?
Traditional: These are Breyer/Stone's large models at 1:9 Scale. Adult horses are about 12 inches long by 9 inches high.
Classic/Freedom Series: Breyer's mid-size models at 1:12 Scale. Adult horses are about 9 inches long by 7 inches high.
Curio: Breyer Paddock Pals/Little Bits and Collectas, Stone Pebbles, and Schleich Models are in the 1:18 to 1:24 scale range and about 5 inches long by 4 inches high.
Stablemate/Chips: Originally 1:32 Scale, these have been inching up over time. Adult horses are about 4 inches long by 3 inches high.
Micro/Mini Whinny: 1:64 Scale. Adult horses are about 2 inches long by 1.5 inches high.

WHY ARE CM CURIOS NOT IN WITH CM MINIS?
Curio scale has an advantage over Stablemates and Micros when it comes to customs because that size is more conducive to details like hair-by-hair dapples and pinto markings.

WHY ARE THE CLASS LISTS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT DIVISIONS?
I hope that the class lists will reflect the molds available to be shown in that division. I imagine that there are more opportunities for a CM Donkey than for an OF Peter Stone one. I did my best to not waste the judges' time by calling classes without entries. The classes also reflect that more showers collect Breyers than other plastic makes. I hope this will let the show run smoothly.

WHY NO NAN CARDS FOR OF ALL MAKES EQUINE DECORATOR/FANTASY?
Yellow NAN cards for OF models is based on collectibility of the model. This division will not be judged on age/rarity/collectibility. It will be judged on beauty, color, and uniqueness of the models. Please bring your current runs as well as your OOAKs. Do enter your vintage models in the OF Vintage (pre-1980) lunch class.
